About this Event

Course Overview

Safety messages are only effective when people understand them quickly. This hands-on course equips safety practitioners with the skills to turn technical or complex safety information into clear, engaging infographics. Guided by an experienced safety consultant, participants will learn to design infographics using Canva and apply key design principles such as layout, colour theory, and typography. The course also introduces AI-supported image generation to enhance visual communication. By the end of the day, you’ll be able to produce infographics that make safety communication more impactful and easier for audiences to absorb.


Course Learning Outcome

Participants will learn how to:

  • Convert complex safety content into simple, audience-friendly visuals using Canva.
  • Apply essential design foundations (typography, colour, layout) to improve clarity and engagement.
  • Organise information effectively so safety messages are easy to follow at a glance.
  • Create infographics for practical workplace use such as safety contests, “how-to” posters, simplified explanations of safety concepts, and communication of safety programmes.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Design professional safety infographics that communicate workplace safety messages clearly and engagingly using Canva.
  2. Use design fundamentals (typography, colour theory, layout) to strengthen the effectiveness of safety communication.
  3. Structure and present safety information in a way that is visually appealing and easy to understand.
  4. Produce visuals that capture attention, improve engagement, and support safety awareness in the workplace.
