About this Event
This workshop accompanies 'The ideal Home for Lockdown Living' exhibition by and at the Safehouse 01 in Peckham.
For the workshop we will consider what makes an ideal home after lockdown.
- Who lives in your ideal home?
- What will you all do there?
- What does your ideal home need to have in it?
- What high tech or ad hoc inventions will it need to function?
- How will it look and how will it work?
We will take a short tour of the exhibition to discuss ideas. We will look at some precedents.Then, through drawing and/or simple model making you can design or describe your own ideal home. If you want to, your can photograph and share your work online in a virtual ideal home exhibition.
Suitable for 16 year olds and up. An interest in art and design and some interest in drawing and making recommended. Places are limited so registration via eventbrite is required.
The exhibition is part of London Design Festival 2025 and Open House Festival 2025.
