About this Event
From the Ground Up is a five part workshop series on how to garden and grow plants sustainably. The methods and practices in these workshops are designed to restore and nurture the environment and to assist you in growing your garden harmoniously with nature. Each workshop is independent of the others and you do not need to attend them all.
The final workshop in this series is about designing your own backyard food forest garden by incorporating layers of plants, selecting suitable beneficial plant combinations and using your garden’s aspect to form microclimates. The practical activity is in the orchard, where we will mark out and design your 3m x 3m food forest.
Please wear a hat and enclosed shoes; and bring a snack and keep cup or water bottle.
Meet at the Kitchen in the Garden.
