Aims of the course:
• To introduce and explore the role of the SENCO
• To discuss local & national resources available to support the SENCO
About this Event

This course has been fully updated to include the revisions to the EYFS and the new Development Matters, 2021.
The course runs over two sessions: 24/03/2025 and 26/03/2025, 1.00pm-4.00pm. Both sessions must be attended and both sessions are included in the ticket price.

By the end of the course participants will:

Be familiar with the current SEND legislation, especially about inclusive practice. Understand the role of the SENCO.
Be confident in understanding the Graduated Response.

Be confident to follow the assess, plan, do, review model and be able to complete a ‘My SEND learning programme’.
Make a service referral and apply for Derbyshire's early years inclusion fund.

This training is for practitioners and Early Years staff from Derbyshire.

We understand that occasionally a cancellation maybe necessary. In this case we will look to transfer your booking to the next available SENCO training course. If a refund is requested this is at the discretion of the organisers but because of Eventbrite fees we are never able to refund the full amount.
