We're so excited to be able to host a clothing swap at one of Denver's local libraries! We will be on Floor 1 in the Lena Archuleta Community Room. Please read more details below. Nikki Koah will be the main coordinator, so please reach out to her with any questions!♿️ - ADA compliant

CLOTHING: Denver Fatties members have been so generous at past clothing swaps, and so to make sure we don’t need to do as much donating after the event, we are going to ask you to please limit the clothing you bring. You do NOT need to bring a clothing donation to come!! We have a MAXIMUM amount of clothing we’d like donated, but not a minimum. Please only bring up to one trash bag/IKEA bag’s worth of clean/washed and gently worn clothing of all plus sizes (size 14/XL and above)! Bras and lingerie sets in EXCELLENT condition, three pairs of shoes and accessories also allowed! Please give your items a second look paying close attention to removing items with any stains, holes, missing buttons, pilling of any kind, or places where the fabric is worn. We advise examining the armpits and crotches of garments as that is where these issues often are apparent. We also don’t want any clothing that is unclean or smells! (including items that smell of smoke).
DONATIONS: We will be donating any extra clothing to The Clothing Cycle, a small business that plans community-centered secondhand clothing events. One of our members is the fat liberation ambassador (rad title!) and working to expand their plus size clothing section. That does mean that if you aren’t able to attend the clothing swap, we can accept your donations beforehand! DM us to find out how.
SUPPLIES/VOLUNTEERING: If anyone has tote bags for people to use to take clothes in, or clothing racks we could use, we’d love that! DM us to coordinate.
