About this Event
Demetriou/Misouli Duo present: REMPETRONICA
REMPETRONICA is a programme of deconstructed and reinterpreted Greek Rempetika (1920s-1960s) and Cypriot folk songs, performed by George Demetriou and Alkistis Misouli. Using an arsenal of electronics, live effects and prepared instruments, the duo weaves together Drone music, modes of the Middle East /Meditteranean, wailing vocals and punk-infused electric guitar and viola.
Join us on Sunday 8pm when we welcome this electrifying duo to light up our space. You know the drill - doors open at 7.30pm, enough time to step in, warm up, grab a drink and your seat.
We can't wait to see you there! You can email us or follow us on Instagram (@godown020) for our event updates.
