About this Event
Located on the University of Georgia's Health Sciences Campus, the Cognitive Aging Research and Education (CARE) Center strives towards a better pathway towards living with Alzheimer's or a related dementia. Our team works to make this possible by offering free education, diagnostic services, and support services at no cost. Dementia is very personal to each member of the CARE Center - you won't find anyone on the CARE team that hasn't been affected by dementia / Alzheimer's in some way, shape, or form. That is why we are so excited to present our newest webinar series, "Dementia Awareness Week."
"Dementia Awareness Week: A Guide to Brain Health, Diagnosis, and Support," is a three-part webinar that will guide attendees through maintaining a healthy brain at every age, what aging with or without Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia reflects in the brain, and understanding behaviors associated with the progression of Alzheimer's / a related dementia.
These webinars will take place at 11am - 12pm on January 27th, January 29th, and January 31st. Presentations include:
January 27th, 2025 - 11am - 12pm: "Brain Health at Every Age," presented by Caleb Snead and Dr. Lisa Renzi-Hammond.
January 29th, 2025 - 11am - 12pm: "Normal Aging vs Dementia," presented by Chloe Mnich and Dr. Stephen Correia.
January 31st, 2025 - 11am - 12pm: "Understanding Behaviors Associated with Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia," presented by Hannah Huff, Dr. Jenay Beer, and Dr. Sarah Saint-Hamilton.
