"Rejoice!: Songs of Wonder, Poetry, and Praise"This program explores the joy of wonder through music and poetry. From the playful imagination of Benjamin Britten’s songs for young singers to the exuberant praise of his Rejoice in the Lamb, these works invite us to see the world with fresh eyes. Settings of poetry by Mark Twain, James Agee, and E. E. Cummings celebrate beauty, rest, and gratitude, while Dan Forrest’s setting of Psalm 8 reminds us that the heavens themselves declare the majesty of God. Together these pieces form a tapestry of imagination and praise, sung by the youthful voices of the DYC. Special guest accompanist: Dr. Richard Seiler
