At the beginning of this workshop the participants have the opportunity to get to know each other and define the learning objectives. What experience awaits them in the coming days?
Topics covered in this course
Preparing and Planning
Participants will now learn about some of the tools to provide criticism effectively and to encourage worker growth.
Selecting Time and Place
In this session you will gain an awareness of the elements to be mindful of and then approaches to doing so with purity of intentions, whether that feedback is given. When we give criticism, we must consider (1) where and (2) when to do so.
During the Session
It is using a training to allow participants to know how to provide feedback. Based on what has been said above, the training will allow participants to know how they can provide feedback using some exercises that are led by facilitators who will also provide knowledge to the individuals which will allow them to gain more confidence providing the critique.
Setting Goals
Once participants understand goal setting and the facets that can make them more effective when attaining a goal, their performance levels will be enhanced over the course of this session.
Dealing with Anger or Negative Emotions
The idea is that criticism should be delivered in a way that is sensitive and constructive. On the agenda will be techniques to give feedback that is constructive, tactful and professional.
What to Avoid
This session will teach you how to criticise. You will explore how to give your feedback in a way that avoids traps.
Post Session Considerations
Participants will be provided with guidance about how to physically move and affect change after critical feedback and as a result, at the end of the session participants will learn how they can coach others after critical feedback.
Summary of the Workshop
After learning during the day, day one ends with asking questions, and planning the next steps, day two.
