We begin the workshop with an introduction – not just by introducing ourselves but by exploring our experience of the approach, together.
Then participants can set themselves a learning goal for the session – and stretch themselves throughout the rest of the session, too!
Topics covered in this course
Understanding Diversity : In this segment we explore the why and how of diversity and the benefits it brings. We examine the principles of diversity management and introduce policies for an inclusive organisation where voices feel valued and respected.
Racial Diversity : In this session we try to go deep into diversity and its benefits and to present main iniciatives and procedures developed to tackle complaints. Let’s talk together about race to unleash your potential!
Employees with Disabilities : Attendees will take away best practices in recruiting and hiring people with disabilities as well as practices across the company that drive diversity.
Expectant Employees : Participants will come out of this session experts on hiring mothers, including timing of maternity leave accommodations, best practices for managing employees concurrently with their legal rights.
Breastfeeding Support, for Working Mothers : In our next session we will discuss a policy that guarantees working mothers with lactation accommodation. Break times that employers provide and if there are any exceptions to lactation accommodation.)
Handling Sexual Harassment : This programme will provide information about harassment while teaching you how to respond to harassing behaviour. We’ll also review policies and procedures in such cases, including HR’s responsibilities regarding implementation.
Recruiting and Retaining Employees : This session will talk about how to hire employees and also tell about the salary packages and termination policies until the age of 40. Lets figure out what makes a difference in hiring individuals!
Supporting the LGBTQ Community : Participants will learn about and discuss the situations and adversities faced by those in the LGBTQ community; they will learn how to offer support by way of human-rights campaigns; discover if a company is committed to equality for all; and access resources tailored to address LGBTQ issues.
The Value of Sensitivity Training : In this session we will discuss the benefits of sensitivity training from delivery method to effectiveness. Let’s examine how practical methods can benefit teamwork and create a more pleasant working environment!
Concluding the Workshop : At the end of the course they can ask questions in an online QA session and, in the fourth step, create an action plan to cater to their learning needs.
