About this Event
Deliver Sessions is back! In May we'll be at Forward Role's office just off Deansgate, huge thanks to them for hosting and providing refreshments.
At this event, we'll have Hannah Dell'Armi presenting:
Why Good Teams Get Stuck: From Armour to Authenticity
Do you work with teams and find yourself wondering why people aren’t taking the initiative, why conflict keeps bubbling under the surface, or why even small changes feel hard?
Often, it’s not about capability or intent — it’s about what’s happening beneath the surface.
Based on the work of Michelle Brody, this session explores the judgements, behaviours and actions that can leave people feeling threatened — and the “armour” we put on in response. With real examples we will explore the threat/armour cycles that can show up and the unintended impact they can have on teams.
You’ll leave with a ideas you can use with your teams to surface what’s really going on and create the conditions for healthier, more authentic ways of working.
About the speaker:
Hannah is a Lead Agile Coach at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), where she focuses on helping areas adopt agile and lean practices through Systemic Agile Coaching.
A relative "newbie" to the civil service, having joined in Feb 2020 a week before lockdown! Before that, she spent 14 years working in various digital roles within the private sector in e-commerce, insurance, finance, utilities, tourism and travel.
A certified professional coach and coaching constellations practitioner Hannah works with teams and individuals to help them see what’s really going on beneath the surface of a system; making unseen relationships, tensions and loyalties visible, helping teams and leaders sense what is asking to change and supporting movement from stuck patterns to healthier alignment.
A mentor for Women in Tech, Inclusion Officer for BCS’s Agile Methods group and #IamRemarkable facilitator, Hannah is passionate about building the next generation of female digital talent and works with several charities aiming to break the bias and build awareness of STEM opportunities for those from low socio-economic backgrounds.
