About this Event

After a Summer break, Deliver Sessions is back! This time, we have a range of speakers sharing what they've learned from trying out new things at work.

Doors open from 6pm, with refreshments and a chance to meet other attendees -- then talks start from 6:30pm.

Chris Burns (head of product) will talk about the power of saying "I don't know": In a world that often rewards confidence and certainty, admitting "I don’t know" can seem counterintuitive, even risky. Yet, embracing this phrase can unlock new avenues for learning, foster a culture of curiosity, and help build relationships. This talk will explore the power of acknowledging when something is uncertain and the benefits of telling the truth when you simply don’t know.

Sophie May and Charlie Cowley (delivery leads) will talk about how their community of practice has learned to make meetings more accessible.

Jay Faulkner (software engineer) will talk about shipping games solo: learnings from cross-functional teams. This will and dig into how Jay applied what she learned as an engineer about shipping a product from working with a dedicated UX and delivery team.
