About this Event
Descriptions are a wonderful, joyous aspect of fiction writing, where we can capture and transport the reader's imagination into our locations, immersing them to ensure we deliver the very best reader experience.
Everything happens somewhere and we want our stories to be engaging, enthralling and vivid. Yet, this aspect of writing, I feel, is often overlooked - hence this workshop.
Whether new to creative writing or a seasoned author, this workshop introduces and practices key techniques you can apply to ensure you capture the essence and characteristics of a location, allowing you to sprinkle them into your scenes and chapters.
Via comprehensive worksheets, we will visit five locations and practice these techniques, building our abilities and insights as we move through this wonderful city, to ensure you leave with the skills to apply to all your current and future writing.
