Welcome to a soothing evening of yoga and music led by yoga teacher Mats Onsum and jazz singer Elisabeth Krohn-Hansen. The event will take place on the first day of February in the beautiful shala at Northern Light Yoga.🌟Deep Listening: Yin Yoga with Live Singing

Mats will lead the participants through a slow and grounding Yin Yoga practice focusing on calming the nervous system, and gradually releasing physical, mental, and emotional tension. Elisabeth creates a vibrant soundscape, wrapping minds and hearts in a warm blanket of soothing tones - creating a space for deep listening and relaxation.
The sound bath can be considered a meditative concert experience, where the audience is invited to settle in to a series of yin yoga postures, placing the body in stillness while observing inner movements of thoughts, emotions and physical sensations, and allowing Elisabeth's vocal vibrations to serve as a guide into a meditative state.
🪷 Elisabeth Krohn-Hansen
Elisabeth has a background in music, psychology, and yoga. She works as a freelance musician with her own band, and has a passion for improvisation and spontaneous music creation. She has taught at yoga studios in Oslo and Kristiansand and has led several yoga classes with singing.
🪷 Mats Onsum
Mats is an experienced yoga teacher and a resident teacher at Northern Light Yoga, as well as a poet and musician. He is known for his wide range of deep and playful classes — as well as his both poetic and lighthearted style of teaching
Both facilitators are yoga teachers and musicians , and have been working together both in the recording studio and the yoga shala with a shared passion for music and movement, and are now looking forward to sharing an experience combining the two.
Come as you are. The event is beginner friendly, and no previous yoga experience is needed. Northern Light Yoga has all the props you need for the yoga practice, but feel free to bring your own yoga mat and a shawl for increased comfort.
Wear warm and cozy clothing that allows you to move freely, bring a water bottle, and arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of the event.
