About this Event
Decolonizing International Law-Making
A leading authority on how international law is created and governed, Professor Samantha Besson’s work interrogates the structures, actors, and power dynamics that shape global legal order. She challenges the ways international systems are built and who gets to participate in them - directly engaging with questions of representation, legitimacy, and institutional design.
Professor Besson holds key roles in global legal bodies, including the Institut de droit International and the International Law Association, and serves as a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague.
