About this Event
Decolonize the Pelvis is not your typical dance class — it is a somatic healing experience designed to help you reconnect with your body, your ancestors, and your higher self in community.
The pelvis is the energetic crossroads of creativity, sensuality, lineage, and power. When that space is shaped by shame, trauma, patriarchy, racism, or silence, we disconnect from ourselves. This experience is about releasing what no longer serves you and remembering YOUR rhythm.
During our 2-hour gathering, you can expect:
• Grounding breathwork and guided meditation
• Self-energy healing practices
• Reflective journaling and affirmations
• Afro-fusion movement rooted in ancestral liberation
This is a BIPOC-centered space for all genders. You do not need dance experience. You do not need to be flexible. You just need to be willing.
We are cultivating presence over performance. Community over isolation. Liberation through embodiment.
Come prepared to move, reflect, release, and reconnect.
Bring a journal, water, comfortable clothes, and an open heart.
If you come alone, you won’t leave that way.
Asé.
