Join Friends of Decatur Cemetery for a FREE Decatur Cemetery Walking Tour on Sun, May 17 at 2pm. This guided walk through Decatur’s largest downtown greenspace and will visit the gravesites of notable figures from Agnes Scott College. Agnes Scott College was established in 1889 and their mission has evolved into a commitment to educate students from around the world to “think deeply, live honorably and engage the intellectual and social challenges of their times.” This tour will walk through Agnes Scott history, Decatur history and will touch on how both the College and the City have grown together.
Meet at the Decatur Cemetery office (229 Bell St, Decatur, GA 30030). No RSVP required. Just wear comfortable shoes. We will be walking on some uneven surfaces.
