🇨🇿 Dvanáctým debutantem v úspěšné, vzrušující sérii dirigentských debutů, kterou založil v roce 2014 Jiří Bělohlávek, bude v roce 2026 absolvent prestižní Royal College of Music v Londýně a Královské hudební akademie v Kodani a laureát Mezinárodní dirigentské soutěže Ionela Perley 💥 Ondřej Soukup 💥 Umělec, jehož jméno rychle získává zvuk zejména ve Velké Británii a ve Skandinávii, bude poprvé řídit orchestr Prague Philharmonia. O programu, jenž se odkazuje k americkému kontinentu a tanečním rytmům, mladý dirigent říká: „Od Coplandova zvuku otevřených amerických prérií se čas na chvíli zastaví v Barberově Knoxville. Po pauze navážeme v některých větách Dvořákovy Suity na Barberovu nostalgii, v jiných na Coplandovo taneční entrée. A s Ginasterou nakonec dotančíme až do velkého finále.“ V působivém díle Samuela Barbera Knoxville: Summer of 1915 (Léto roku 1915) na text držitele Pulitzerovy ceny Jamese Ageeho se jako sólistka představí vynikající slovenská sopranistka Simona Šaturová, jež ve filmu Il Boemo oceněném Českým lvem propůjčila hlas primadoně Caterině Gabrielli a ve své vlastní kariéře vystoupila například s Vídeňskými filharmoniky s Herbertem Blomstedtem, Staatskapelle Dresden s Manfredem Honeckem nebo s Bostonským symfonickým orchestrem pod taktovkou Charlese Dutoit.

🇬🇧 The twelfth debutant in the successful, exciting series of conducting debuts founded in 2014 by Jiří Bělohlávek will be in 2026 a graduate of the prestigious Royal College of Music in London, Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and laureate of the Ionel Perlea International Conducting Competition, 💥 Ondřej Soukup 💥 The artist, who is fast making a name for himself particularly in Great Britain and Scandinavia, will be conducting the Prague Philharmonia for the first time. The young conductor spoke to us about the programme, which focuses on the American continent and dance rhythms: “We begin with Copland’s sound of the open American prairies, then time stands still for a while in Barber’s Knoxville. After the break certain movements in Dvořák’s Suite bring to mind Barber’s nostalgia, while others are evocative of Copland’s dance entrée. And with Ginastera we dance our way to the grand finale.” Samuel Barber’s persuasive Knoxville: Summer of 1915was written to a text by James Agee, Pulitzer Prize-winner. Its solo part will be performed by excellent Slovak soprano Simona Šaturová, who lent her voice to the prima donna Caterina Gabrielli in the film Il Boemo, which won a Czech Lion award, and in her own career she has appeared with the Vienna Philharmonic under Herbert Blomstedt, Staatskapelle Dresden under Manfred Honeck and the Boston Symphony Orchestra under Charles Dutoit.
