About this Event

join us Sunday June 14th from 12:00-2:00pm at Fairmount Cemetery for a picnic lunch, grief circle, and a scenic stroll through the grounds.

I love cemeteries and fairmount is particularly beautiful. together we'll share what's on our hearts in a grief circle, have a cute picnic lunch, and take a scenic stroll through the cemetery as griefy pride season will be in full swing! bring some flowers if you'd like to leave them at gravesites.

what to bring: bring a blanket/seat, your lunch, and any snacks or bevs you want to share with the group. anything to feel comfortable sitting on cement and grassy grounds. flowers are optional offerings at headstones. it's good practice to wear a head covering of some kind (hat, beanie, scarf, etc.) in the cemetery for energetic boundaries. k/n95 or higher protection mask.

COVID-19 - please test for covid at least 24hrs prior to the meet-up. since we'll be eating together masks can't be worn full time, but please bring one and be prepared to wear one. stay home and take care if you're feeling any symptoms of sickness, we'll have more cemetery visits in the future! we can provide masks or tests before the meet-up if needed.

date & time: sunday june 14th, 12-2pm

tickets: free! RSVP to reserve your spot, for more details, and location updates. these will be sent to the email you register with.

ASL

  • we don’t plan to have ASL interpretation at this meet-up but please reach out if this will make it accessible for you.

bring what you need to be comfortable! sunglasses, ear plugs, fidget toys, comfort items, etc. are all welcome.

if grief circles are new to you this is a great place to start. folks can share as much or little as they want, no expectations. we’ll absolutely be supporting each other but this isn’t a support group. we don’t have therapists or social workers monitoring or mediating. we don’t provide solutions or advice to grief. rather, we gather to listen, make space to share, and practice being in mutual grief together while making friends, building community, and finding ways to express our grief without “fixing” or changing feelings.

please be prepared to mask (unless you have a disablility that prevents you from doing so) and take a covid test for this gathering. some masks and tests will be provided. feel free to reach out with any additional accessibility needs or concerns at [email protected].

see you there,
