Workshop offers hands-on activities and presentations including a basic understanding of diversity and communication differences within the DeafBlind community, the roles and responsibilities of a Support Service Provider (SSP) and CoNavigator (CN), human guidance techniques, how to provide visual environmental information to DeafBlind individuals and share state & national DeafBlind services and resources.Training takes place at McDowell Technical Community College's The Universal Advanced Manufacturing Center Building #22 Conference Rooms #105 and 106.
Admission costs $20 to attend and classroom is limited to 32 participants.
