About this Event
Tzedek DC, a nonprofit legal aid organization committed to promoting racial and economic justice, is proud to offer a free 8-week financial empowerment program for DC young adults.
Note: This program is open to all adult DC residents (18+), as well as UDC students who are DMV residents.
The program provides a series of financial literacy workshops aimed at the specific needs of young adults like spending plans, debt, understanding your paycheck, building credit and investing. The program also offers individualized financial counseling sessions from experts and helps program participants set tailored financial plans and achievable goals. Program participants will be eligible to receive $100 in grant funding to start their investment journeys utilizing the Stackwell app.
For eight consecutive weeks, this cohort will take place virtually* from 4:00PM - 6:00 PM on the following days over Zoom:
- Thursday, March 20th - @4-6pm
- Thursday, March 27th - @4-6pm
- Thursday, April 3rd - @4-6pm (*Note: This workshop will be in-person at one of Industrial Bank's locations - the exact address is coming soon).
- Thursday, April 10th - @4-6pm
- Thursday, April 17th - @4-6pm
- Thursday, April 24th - @4-6pm
- Thursday, May 1st - @4-6pm
- Thursday, May 8th - @4-6pm (*Note: This final workshop and graduation celebration will be in-person in the Deanwood neighborhood - the exact address is coming soon).
