Join us for a hootenanny in Takoma Park! Songbooks provided, no musical ability needed. Free!About this Event
Come sing your heart out, together, on Saturday February 21, 4-6 PM at Seekers Church* in Takoma Park.
* Note: The event does not have any religious aspect or affiliation — we're just using the church as an event space!
How It Works
- Bring your voice: Musical ability is NOT required. Nobody will be able to hear you sing, so don’t feel self-conscious!
- Bring an acoustic instrument: Anyone's welcome to join the “band,” from fretters to flautists of all skill levels! The D.C. Sing-Along Songbook includes chords for the musicians.
- Call out your fave song from the songbook: The Beatles, Disney, Taylor, Whitney — the D.C. Sing-Along Songbook has something for everyone!
- Bring the kids, too: As long as you're ok with a smidge of profanity (looking at you, Alanis).
- The event is free! (Donations are appreciated to help cover costs of venues, songbooks, kazoos 🎺🙏.)
