Join British Cycling for a unique event to cycle on a specially designed route using many of the gravel roads, paths and tracks in the North York Moors National Park.Riding at night brings a whole new dimension to cycling and, whether you have challenged your senses by riding with lights before or not, anyone can give it a go.
The epic 67 km Dark Skies loop takes in a mix of public bridleways and drover’s paths through woods and across open moorland. Built on decades of homegrown knowledge, it will be a real challenge to complete in the dark.
Entrants are welcome to ride at a racy or leisurely pace on any bike, from gravel and electric to mountain bikes. As long as you have the legs and the lights, plus some cushioning and tread on your tyres, Dark Skies is for you. Starting and finishing at Sutton Bank National Park Centre means you can fuel up beforehand and share stories afterwards about your ride amongst the stars.
Come out of hibernation and join British Cycling this February for an experience like no other as you take on the Dark Skies challenge.
