About Megan Mazarick
Megan Mazarick is a Philadelphia choreographer and performer known for blending movement, theater, and text. Her choreographic style is marked by its bold exploration of identity and the human experience, often weaving personal narratives into powerful, emotive performances. Her work has been presented through out the United States and in Singapore, Bulgaria, Hungary, Egypt, Poland, Mexico, and Australia. Megan’s solo old swan won the Audience Award at the 2022 Gdansk Solo Dance Festival and she was selected as a resident artist at the 2024 Festival. As an organizer, she developed a free dance program for the nEW Festival and co-produced the By Chance Festival in Cairo in 2015. She teaches technique, improvisation, and composition globally. Megan is currently an Assistant Professor of Dance at Rider University and a recipient of the 2024 MAP Fund.

DanceVisions began in 2017 with the aim of developing more seasoned work from the selected choreographers by having the time, space, and support for thoughtful and mentored creation.
The Performance Garage provides the DanceVisions Resident Artist with mentorship, marketing, publicity, box office, and a $10,000 stipend. Included in their support is video documentation, photography, and light design for their three-performance season when they premiere their new residency choreography.
