About this Event
Rae Studios is honored to be the 2025 programming partner of Mission Rock SF; providing FREE CLASSES to the Mission Rock Neighborhood to increase equity and access to dance & wellness for all ages, abilities, and levels. We will be featuring TWO WEEKLY CLASSES starting with Dance Thursdays followed by Barre Fridays. Classes offered on Dance Thursdays will range from Bollywood Funk, Shuffle, K-Pop, and Hip Hop. All classes offered will be free and easy to follow. We encourage all participants to sign up in advance to help the instructor prepare for a successful class. We are overjoyed to be a part of this program with the beautiful Mission Rock Neighborhood. Join us at the waterfront, let's move!

Hip Hop (Class Description):
Hip Hop began forming as a culture and art movement in the Bronx of New York City in 1970. Hip hop dance is a range of street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or sub-genres of hip-hop music that has evolved as part of the hip hop culture with various elements of dance styles. n this class, you will learn the rhythms and movements of Hip-Hop, the five elements of Hip-Hop, grooves, fundamentals, history, musicality, and terminology in its relation to the Hip-Hop dance culture. A beginner-friendly Hip-Hop dance combo and education around Hip-Hop.

TiAna Hester is a multifaceted individual dedicated to nurturing well-rounded dancers and movers. Through her expertise as a dancer, choreographer, and fitness professional, she empowers dancers by integrating faith, education, entertainment, and inspiration into her work. Her commitment to building strong, confident individuals shines through her contributions to the dance and fitness community in New York City, The Bay Area, and The Central Valley.
