Dance for Democracy

Dance for Democracy is a lively, energetic campus-wide celebration that combines civic engagement with cultural expression, music, and community building. Held at Marquette University, the event encourages students to explore democracy through joy, culture, movement, and community, rather than through traditional lectures.

As we near the 250th anniversary of American democracy, this program provides space for students to connect civic participation with identity, belonging, and justice—key elements of Marquette’s Catholic, Jesuit tradition mission
