RTO 9 and Ontario By Bike are pleased to invite you to join a free in-person Cycle Tourism Destination Development Workshop at the Benson Centre in Cornwall, ON to learn more about the growing cycle tourism market in Ontario ($532M industry in 2023) and how welcoming cyclists is good for your business.
Join us for this 2 hour in-person workshop to learn more about how welcoming cyclists is good for your business, good for the region, learn about exciting developments in cycle tourism across the counties and the province, and how to get certified as bicycle friendly.

- Staff, managers, owners of tourism businesses and locations interested in becoming certified as bicycle friendly, including but not limited to those involved in: accommodations, food services, attractions, tour operators, breweries, and wineries

The Ontario By Bike Network certifies tourism businesses and locations as bicycle friendly, helping businesses reach the growing number of cycle tourists in Ontario as well as promoting and further developing cycle tourism in destinations across Ontario. With over 1,700 participating businesses in over 42 regions, Ontario By Bike is one of the leading resources for cycling related information and where to find bicycle friendly places to eat, visit and sleep.
Certified locations appear on the Ontario By Bike Map and are on the business directory for your region: South Eastern Ontario. The following requirements must be met to become a certified bicycle friendly location and participate in the Network:
- Meet the minimum requirements as set out in the Ontario By Bike Network industry standards and criteria checklist
- Register location with Ontario By Bike online
- If you are already a certified business location, ensure that your information is up-to-date, by reviewing your listing on our website, and then making updates/edits.
