About this Event
Participants will create a collage using natural objects, then watch their image develop under UV light in rich cyanotype blue. They can also print their design on a Cahier Moleskine journal cover for an additional £3, payable in store. The activity lasts around 30 minutes, and general admission ticket holders can drop in anytime between 1:30 and 2:30 pm. All materials are provided - please feel free to bring any of your treasured small objects or fabrics to take prints of (materials like lace and small objects with distinct outlines like puzzle pieces, feathers, lego figures). Suitable for ages 8+, it’s a relaxed, hands-on workshop for curious, creative visitors.
Florence Bennett is a London-based artist whose work consists of short cyanotype films, using cyanotype prints as animation frames within a handmade analogue process. Drawing on early twentieth-century cinema, her work explores historical anachronism, the manipulation of time, and the idea that fine art interventions can challenge and reframe historical narratives.
