About this Event
Burgh House presents Sunday Sounds, our recital series showcasing emerging musicians.
Ruihan Wu is a 11-year-old pianist who finds love and passion in playing the piano. Inspired by her classmate at school, she started learning to play the piano at 6 with her music teacher Louise Byrom before becoming a pupil of Antoinette Cann a year later. She now studies under the guidance of Dr Ji Liu. Following a debut at 9, Ruihan has been performing recital and chamber music at venues in Cambridge and London such as URC Downing Place, Horton Epsom, Burgh House, Croydon Minster and Westminster Music Library. Apart from performing in public, Ruihan participated and won different prizes in several regional and international piano competitions including 2nd prize at the London International Chopin Competition for Young Pianists. Meanwhile Ruihan also composes her own music and songs.
