MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST
JEREMY SOLE is on a mission to show that music is a universal language, with each culture offering its own “accent” of the same mother tongue. For over 35 years, he has collected vinyl from around the world, crafting DJ sets and remixes that blend global sounds into genre-defying sonic rituals.
He is widely known for his long-running KCRW radio show (now in its 18th year), where he helped introduce artists like Black Pumas, Hiatus Kaiyote, Michael Kiwanuka, and Alabama Shakes to wider audiences, while premiering music from Santana, Saul Williams, Rhye, and many more.
Sole has remixed artists including Femi Kuti, David Bowie, Thievery Corporation, Beck, and Chaka Khan, and has performed at festivals such as Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, and Worldwide Festival. Over his career, he has shared stages or collaborated with legends like Stevie Wonder, Roy Ayers, James Blake, and Ms. Lauryn Hill, and was notably the last DJ to open for both Ray Charles and Gil Scott-Heron.
Beyond performance, Sole has spent decades using music and event curation as a force for community and change, contributing to hundreds of fundraisers and amplifying social awareness through his #NeuralEpidural series. Since relocating to Los Angeles, he has co-founded influential event series including AFRO FUNKÉ, theLIFT, and LE FRIQUE SONIQUE, each known for cultivating devoted, culture-shaping followings.
