About this Event

Curls and Conversations!

Join us at Brompton Library for a fun and interactive event celebrating all things afro hair! Learn tips and tricks for maintaining healthy hair, discover new products, and connect with other afro hair enthusiasts. On the day, there will be two different talks and a live demo. Don't miss out on this opportunity to embrace and celebrate afro hair! Everyone is welcome!

What to expect:

  • Pop-up shop from Black-owned brands
  • Two talks, including one live demo
  • Tips on hair techniques and styling
  • Music, good conversation and light refreshments

12:30-13:30 Elevating Natural Hair through Self-Care & Expression 30 minutes talk/demo (limited spaces)

14:00-15:00 Unpacking the Problem of Hair Loss Among Black Women 30 minutes talk (limited spaces)

We will have several brands selling hair and beauty products. This is a chance to help support black owned businesses

When you book a talk, you will also have general admission to the pop-up shop

Elevating Natural Hair through Self-Care & Expression by La'Rose Luxe Hair

Info: This is a talk on understanding afro hair and how to maintain healthy hair care routines. There will also be a live demo of how to care for your afro hair. Additionally, a confidence-boosting discussion about self-love, hair journeys, and breaking beauty standards. There will also be an open Q&A session for attendees to ask questions about all things hair-related.
