About this Event

Join us for a tour of the new retrospective of work by unconventional and radical architect Bruce Goff. The gallery tour, exclusively for members of Docomomo, will be led by curators Alison Fisher and Craig Lee. Group size is extremely limited.

Please note: museum general admission is required in addition to registering here. (We are using the Eventbrite registration to keep track of attendees, but you'll still need to purchase a ticket for the Art Institute.)

The Art Institute offers reduced admission for Chicago and Illinois residents. You can purchase tickets online in advance. If you prefer to buy tickets in person, please allow enough time to arrive at the exhibit by 6pm.

The Bruce Goff exhibition is included in general museum admission and does not require an additional ticket. Purchase AIC admission here.

The tour will begin at 6pm at the entrance to Regenstein Hall. Regenstein Hall is on the first floor. To get there from the Michigan Avenue entrance, turn right, and go through Japanese Prints or Arts of China, Japan, and Korea. Continue past the (very photogenic) floating circular staircase designed by Shaw, Metz & Associates in 1962. Regenstein Hall is straight ahead. We will meet at the entrance at 6pm sharp.

If you're coming from the Modern Wing entrance, head straight throught the main atrium. Turn right and take a shortcut past the restroom through the L-shaped hallway. Continue through the Alsodorf Galleries, turn left into Arts of China, Japan, and Korea, and keep going until you reach Regenstein Hall.

The tour will last approximately one hour with time afterwards to explore on your own.
