About this Event
Welcome to the Curating History Session for 11-16 year olds.
This session we will learn about local Victorian Emily Hobhouse and pacifist and human rights campaigner.
What you'll learn:
Who was Emily Hobhouse
What she did
What else will we do:
You'll have a short talk about Emily and then you'll get a creative activity, this time we will be looking at Victorian Puzzle Letters/Purses.
For those interested in coming along regularly there will be some additional training availble during this session on how to handle museum objects which when completed will mean that your child will get more of an opportunity to handle museum artifacts under supervision. There is no additional charge for this and it will be run by the museum manager.
You'll also get a word search and fact file to take away from the session.
Who's running the session:
This session will be run by our learning volunteer Lizzie and our digisation volunteer Hollie (who happens to know a fair amount about Emily Hobhouse) plus our museum manager Iga.
