Dear fellow countrymen and women, and community members:On the 30th of November, there will be Parliamentary Elections in Iceland.
We cordially invite you to meet with the representatives of the political parties running for elections on Sunday 17th of November from 13:00-16:00 at Veröld – Hús Vigdísar, Brynjólfsgata 1 (see more below).
The representatives of the various political parties will talk about their statements of purpose - what they stand for. The presentations will be followed by a “Question and Answer” segment.
The political parties will also have a stand outside the meeting room and their representatives will be there to provide you with information and have a chat J
We encourage you to show up even though some of you might not have the right to vote. The main reason is because we all live here in Iceland, and the policies, laws and regulations impact us all. We need to take this chance to find other ways to influence these policies besides voting, such as asking questions and engaging in discussions with the representatives of the political parties. That is how we can hold politicians to account.
This is a great opportunity for our community to be visible and heard.
The meeting is hosted by the Cultural Ambassador Community in English. However, if someone needs assistance to understand or ask a question, we will be there to assist.
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting and hearing your voice which needs to be heard.
