About this Event
Loving Kindness meditation is a transformative practice that cultivates goodwill and friendliness toward oneself and others—offering a lifetime resource for meeting life's circumstances with greater resilience, joy, and good-heartedness.
Come and immerse yourself in an environment of practice, guided by experienced Buddhist meditation teachers, supported by the company of other meditators.
This meditation retreat day will introduce and explore the practice of Loving Kindness—a simple, powerful and profound technique, long-practised in the Buddhist tradition, which helps us to reconnect with the depth of life, and cultivate the presence, clarity and open-heartedness that modern life can so easily erode.
“Loving-kindness and compassion are the basis for wise, powerful, sometimes gentle, and sometimes fierce actions that can really make a difference - in our own lives and those of others.”
Sharon Salzberg

ABOUT OUR MEDITATION RETREAT DAYS
Rigpa South Downs Lewes holds Meditation Retreat Days throughout the year.
Retreat means to step away from the noise of everyday life and create a space for something different. This one-day event is a chance to do exactly that – to take some time out from the demands of our busy lives and reconnect with a deeper sense of presence, perspective and peace within ourselves.
So whether you’re brand new to meditation or have experience, these retreat days offer the chance to explore and deepen meditation practice with the guidance of experienced Buddhist teachers, in a setting that naturally supports reflection and stillness. Our venue – the Linklater Pavilion – is nestled in the peaceful surroundings of the Railway Land nature reserve in Lewes, just an hour by train from London.
“It's been a treat to be immersed in so much peace... while learning some solid foundations for a meditative practice.”
Come and enjoy the exploration and discovery that is meditation, because there’s no time like the present.
