About this Event
Learn hands-on how to make sweet potato casserole! While Culikid's virtual classes are paced to be accessible for a neurodivergent child, they are open to everyone! All ages and abilities are welcome to join!
This class will involve peeling, cutting sweet potatoes, measuring, mixing, and using the stove and oven. Adult assistance is suggested if your child or teen needs help with any of the above as well as following verbal directions, staying on task, and initiating tasks. This class will take approximately 1 hour.
Ingredients and supplies needed:
- Unsalted butter
- Sweet potatoes
- Milk
- Brown sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Kosher Salt
- Eggs
- All-purpose flour
- Pecans
Register once per household (not for each individual). Once you register, you will be sent the Zoom meeting link followed by the full ingredient and supply list. If you have any questions about the class or ingredients you can substitute, email us at [email protected].
This recipe can be:
- Dairy-free by using vegan butter and dairy-free milk
- Gluten-free by using gluten-free all-purpose flour
- Vegan by using vegan butter, dairy-free milk, and an egg substitute
- Nut-free by omitting the pecans
