About this Event
In this workshop you will learn rebozo alignment techniques, the full Closing of the Bones ceremony (bath, binding, tea), postpartum food do’s and don'ts, and how to honor and hold space for your client as they process their birthing experience.
We will also cover two types of belly binding; rebozo and faja. You will learn about the history and culture associated with each bind and how correct binding is helpful in postpartum healing.
This class is taught by long-time doula Sariah Price. As well as being a birth and postpartum doula for many years, she is also a childbirth educator and a doula trainer/mentor for Inwoven . We are grateful to have her share her culture and traditions with us.
This workshop includes lunch and dinner, your own copal, warming salve, traditional herb blends, a faja and a book of recipes.
Sariah will also have rebozos from Mexico for sale at a discount to workshop participants.
