Students will turn their LEGO creations into animated stories in this fun stop-motion animation camp!Perfect for young creators ages 7-14, our LEGO Movie Makers camp builds patience and persistence as students learn to bring their stories to life one frame at a time, planning projects thoughtfully, managing their time effectively, and carrying ideas from concept to completion. Students learn the fundamentals of animation as they design characters, build simple sets, and capture frame-by-frame motion using digital tools. Through hands-on projects, students explore storytelling, sequencing, visual composition, and basic film principles while applying STEM concepts such as cause and effect, timing, and problem-solving.
Participants learn how movement creates the illusion of motion, how lighting and camera placement affect a scene, and how editing and sound enhance storytelling. Working individually and in small groups, students create original stop motion shorts while strengthening creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills. The camp culminates in a final video showcase where students present and celebrate their work.
Space is limited to 12 campers per session, register at: https://www.sixpixelsfilmacademy.com/services
