CROWD MOUTH LIT - Summer Send-Off! 🎤 CROWD MOUTH LIT “Summer Send-Off!” May 31 at The Mountain Room
Seattle’s most unfiltered literary series returns for its May installment at the Mountain Room (The bar at the R!)
Seattle, WA — Author Paul Mullin is back with the May installment of the local literary reading series: Crowd Mouth Lit, coming Sunday, May 31 at 6:00 PM at The Mountain Room, promising an evening that’s loud, local, and lit.
No ploys. No preciousness. Just a mic, a crowd, and words meant to leave a mark.
This May installment features:
• Readings from Paul Mullin’s unpublished novel One Cherry Deep featuring Deep from the audiobook, Anise Rau.
• Richard Rhodes, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Making of the Atomic Bomb, reading from his latest book, The 90,000 Babies of Dr. Jo.
• The Salish Sea’s foremost stage-bard, Seanjohn Walsh, offering up from memory the first few pages of James Joyce’s Ulysses, with the incomparable Amy Thone later delivering Molly’s famous “Yes I will yes!” monologue from the end.
• Seattle playwright and storyteller Scot Augustson, sharing excerpts from his newest work, deemed criminally whimsical in no less than six states.
• David Silverman, world-class auctioneer, dipping briefly out of retirement to read some of his writing, and auction off a few items on behalf of the crowdfunding campaign for One Cherry Deep’s audio book production.
• Live music featuring the fantabulous jazz-pop fusion stylings of Jose “Juicy” Gonzales and vocals by Heather Curtis Mullin.
• Playwright Louis Broome reading his latest.
• Plus much, much more!
