Course Structure

Photography plays a crucial role in crime scene documentation and evidence processing, and students will incorporate photography into the hands-on processing segments.
Required Equipment
Students must bring the digital camera, lenses, tripod, and high-intensity flashlight they use in their department. Exceptions can be made if your agency uses a different method to photograph scenes.

Vehicle Processing – Specialized techniques for collecting evidence from vehicles
Bloodstain Pattern Analysis – Identifying and interpreting blood evidence
Chemical Processing for Blood Evidence – Use of Amido Black, Leuco Crystal Violet, Bluestar, and phenolphthalein
DNA Evidence Collection – Proper handling and preservation techniques
Detection of Cleaned-Up Crime Scenes – Methods for uncovering hidden evidence
