The IE CRFG chapter once again has a booth at the Riverside Flower Show.We need volunteers to help donate plants and to work at the Flower Show. Marco Baldi is the event coordinator. We will soon set up a Sign Up Genius page for volunteering. Sign up for a 3 hr shift, and enjoy meeting and talking with people who enjoy gardening and are interested in growing fruit. Volunteers can choose a 1 gallon plant as a small reward for helping us. Link to sign up page will go here.
Please remember the importance of donating plants! We need to raise money for club expenses and this is our primary opportunity! We have sold at this sale for many, many years and we will have lots of previous customers anxious to buy plants! Besides fruit trees, we welcome veggies and herbs. Even veggie starts (plant some seeds NOW). Anything edible. If you are donating plants, please email a list of the types of plants you plan to bring (approximate list is fine) to Christine Lampe so she can make signs for those plants. Plan to bring donated plants late Friday afternoon 5-7 pm, or early Sat., before 10 am. Or make other arrangements with Marco Baldi.
Besides plants, we need PEOPLE! We need volunteers to help work a shift (or two) during the weekend (either Saturday and/or Sunday). Please volunteer once we post the Sign Up Genius volunteer page.
By the way, we also sell many of our plants to our members! So, if you're interested in buying plants at very reasonable prices, come as soon as the sale begins at 10 A.M. for the best selection.
