About this Event
Before founding Unplugged, Hector Hughes experienced firsthand how always-on technology can blur boundaries between work, rest, and mental health.
Hector is the Co-Founder and CEO of Unplugged, a fast-growing company building an entirely new category around digital detoxes through off-grid cabins immersed in nature. Under his leadership, Unplugged has expanded to 60 cabins and helped more than 12,000 guests disconnect from their devices and spend three intentional days fully offline.
Unplugged began with a simple question: what happens when we design life without constant digital noise? In this session, Hector Hughes shares the personal journey that led him to build Unplugged, exploring mental health, modern productivity, and creating a brand rooted in balance. Attendees will hear lessons on resilience, values-driven leadership, and how creating space offline can unlock clarity, creativity, and better work online.
