About this Event
Water wears through stone. It hollows out mountains, irrigates plains, outlives empires. It doesn't need status. It doesn't hold grudges. It goes where it is needed and then moves on. Always flowing. Never asking. Always enough. – from the Toa Te Ching
In celebration of water, Top Hat Supply for Journeys invites you to explore stillness, connection and communion with the creative spirit through Tea ceremony and clay.
We'll begin with a Tea ceremony that will help us to soften into our own inner knowing, followed by a guided workshop in building a Jian Shui (waste water bowl) out of clay. A special piece for your home Tea practice and ceremonies.
All materials provided. Please dress comfortably. No experience necessary with Tea or clay neccessary.
Jian Shui’s will be fired and ready in 3 weeks to bring home.
Water bottles + snacks welcome.
Please arrive at 9:20AM to get comfortable. The Tea ceremony will begin promptly at 9:40AM. To maintain the integrity of the experience, we ask that all technology be silenced and that there be no talking during the listening portion of the event. Please no fragrance.
