Creative Workshop with Sylvie Holder
Date: Friday 21st March 2025
Location: Yorkshire Dance
This workshop is an opportunity to slow down and retrace our movement patterns from stillness to dance. Through improvisational exercises we will be exploring how we can move from places of instinct as a means for authentic storytelling, alongside live muscial accompaniment from composer/ sound artist Wilfred Kimber.
About Sylvie:
Sylvie Holder is a dance theatre maker and mover from South East London, now based in Leeds as a freelance choreographer. She creates socio-political work that employs the textures of real life to reflect on underlying and relevant social topics through movement and sound. Sylvie has a keen interest in shifting the lens away from traditional archetypes of contemporary dance, towards work that is raw and unfiltered.
TICKETS:
For this session we suggest donations of £6. However we understand that not everyone will be able to afford this, and therefore there is no pressure to pay. We wish for this to be open to all so please only pay what you can afford.
