The Creative Wollongong Short Film Festival will showcase the best entries from the 2025/26 Short Film Competition, along with a selection of commissioned films, all inspired by this year’s signature theme item - birds.At Wollongong Botanic Garden as part of Sunset Cinema Wollongong.

Gates open at 7pm, with musical performances, red carpet photos and Q&A with film makers.
Screenings will commence at last light.
We’ll also be announcing the Festival prize winners at the end of the night, as decided by our official judging panel: Vincent Sheehan, Yael Stone, Ian Collie and Skye Netting.
Running time: approx. 150mins
This event is recommended for ages 15 years and over. Please note, these newly created films have not been officially rated. We are putting a M rating on the screening as a guideline as there may be some mature language and themes. Children under 15 years may attend with the supervision of their parents.
