Making art (of any kind) can often be a vulnerable experience, this series of walks is a low-pressure opportunity to nurture the creative part of you, breathe new life into your ideas, and connect with others.
This is for you if you want to bring creativity into the foreground of your life.
→ Maybe you have a dream to start making things.
→ Maybe you’re rekindling a love of a particular art form.
→ Maybe you’re years into your practice and want to meet up with other creative people.
This is a space to encourage your artistic spirit and ideas simply by talking about them. Come tell us about your idea that’s still a seedling, the creative projects you’re working on, or the practices you’re deepening into.
It’s all about witnessing and connection with a hint of gentle accountability sprinkled in too. All stages of the journey are welcome!

What to expect:
→ We’ll set off for a stroll around Holyrood park at 11am
→ We’ll chat in small clusters/pairs while walking, pausing half way around to sip our flasks of tea/coffee and then finish off the route
→ At the end of the walk we’ll come back together as a group and all speak one small creative action into existence at the same time - off into the aether it goes!!
→ Come back the following month and tell us where your action took you
Important notes:
→ This space requires compassion, curiosity and kindness!! The only other thing you need to bring with you is a flask of your favourite hot drink :)
→ If you need to walk at a slower pace, please communicate this to the people you’re chatting with so that you’re comfortable
→ There’s every possibility that you might find people you want to chat with in more depth or even collaborate with - feel free to connect outside of the bounds of this container!

WHO IS RUNNING THIS EVENT:
I’m Sophie (she/her) - artist, writer and late-identified AuDHD person.
I love to create warm, thoughtful spaces that help us to lean into the joy and power of our creativity.
I write The Art of Feeling it All, a newsletter about the value of feeling life deeply, belonging, and creative relationships.
Last year I released my first zine into the world called, A Guide to Reframing and Releasing PMDD: Practising Moments of Deliberate De-shaming.
