About this Event
In this month’s Creative Reuse Class we will be embroidering hand-sewn handkerchiefs! You’ll learn foundational hand-sewing stitches and finishing techniques to create personalized pieces from reclaimed fabric.
This workshop is a collaboration between Local Ecology and Agriculture Fremont (LEAF), Art Pocket San Jose, and LuluBean Boutiques. In addition to our workshop there will be a yarn and fabric swap from 10AM - 1PM, managed by Art Pocket SJ and LuluBean Boutiques. Please bring your excess yarn or fabric to share, but no trades are necessary in order to participate.
This class is a part of our Creative Reuse series. Through Creative Reuse, we put materials that would have been thrown away to good use. Our goal is to save and use yarn and other craft supplies that would otherwise be thrown away and use them. Please bring any yarn, notions, t-shirts, or plastic storage boxes you would like to donate to the class. Donating craft supplies or cash helps us offer this class series for free.
