On March 14th, 1–3pm, we host our monthly Creative Djembe Workshop, specially designed for people living with Parkinson’s, Dementia, or long-term recovery from stroke.This workshop is something we are truly passionate about, and we would love to see it continue to grow because the benefits of drumming together are genuinely amazing. Through rhythm, connection and creativity, participants often experience improvements in mood, coordination and confidence.
Our approach is gentle and supportive. We take our time, using a slower and more repetitive style of learning so everyone can feel comfortable and included. Halfway through we pause for a cuppa and a chat, giving everyone time to rest, take medications if needed, and enjoy the social side of being together.
