Maniana is a local mama who was inspired to be more in touch with natures seasonal cycles after her first child was born. She started celebrating the Wheel of the Year festivals, but found it difficult to find information that related to the Southern Hemisphere seasons - so she started sharing her own experience!
This event is for you if:
* You are curious about creating your own nature based seasonal family traditions, as an alternative to the religious consumerist holidays we have at the opposite time of year here the Southern Hemisphere (Easter in Autumn, Halloween in Spring and Christmas in Summer).
* You love decorating for the holidays and cooking feasts for special occasions and would love to have more excuses to celebrate!
* You want to celebrate the seasons with your family but feel like you don’t know how or have any extra time to prepare anything special. So would love to have some simple ideas to spark your creativity.
* You have heard of the Wheel of the Year but find it too confusing to remember each holiday, especially when having to translate them to fit the Southern Hemisphere dates.
* You’d like to know more about the eight seasonal festivals of the ancient Celtic pagan Wheel of the Year and how these can be adapted into current times in New Zealand, in your own way that works for your family.
Maniana and her family have been actively celebrating for three seasonal cycles now and from personal experience have found a simplified framework to create your own traditions from, no matter how big or small.
