About this Event
Turn everyday mysteries into creative designs, discover how things really work!
In this fun, hands-on workshop, designed for high school students, you’ll pick a topic that fascinates you (from volcanoes to VR headsets) anduse AI prompts to input information into a designed mobile app.
You’ll choose a topic that fascinates you, then we will:
- Break it down into clear, step-by-step explanations
- Sketch diagrams and illustrations to tell a story visually
- See your ideas enhanced with AI-generated images and optional animations
- Watch as everything comes together in a shared Figma prototype that acts like an interactive app.
By the end of the session, participants will have contributed their own entry to the collective manual and discovered how designers use visual storytelling, design thinking, and emerging digital tools to explain complex ideas in fun and accessible ways.
This workshop is suitable for Year 10–12 students. No prior design or software skills required, just curiosity and a willingness to explore. No equipment required, LCI Melbourne will supply all materials
